Holiday Greetings from Mackenzie Saunders |
|
|
Here is a Holiday card that we received from the Saunders. You may remember she was the 11 year old Awatukee goalie that suffered a traumatic injury to her spine in a collision during a game.
"The Saunders want to thank you for the support you gave Mackenzie this past year. It's been and eventful year to say the least, and we are thankful Mack continues to recover. Mack continues to show great determination and a positive attitude that has inspired many people. Mack continues physical therapy twice a week and recently joined Neptune swim club where she'll work out with the team once a week. Mack still has competitive soccer in her sights. maybe the 2011 - 12 club season, maybe 8th grade soccer next fall. Mackenzie has started a toy drive called Sharing Hope, named after the little girl named Hope, who came to her hospital room before Christmas last year to give her a hand held video game. Mack has collected 13 hand held video games so far and is looking forward to making at least 13 kid's who are spending this Christmas in a hospital a little brighter.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Go Mack! Think Positive!"
