Tribute match for Connor Redd |
The Arsenal 90 Premier and the Cisco Toros had a rivalry that is matched by no other in the state. They played off against each other in an amazing 7 state championships over the course of their soccer careers. The last 5 were U15-U19. These two teams dominated the age group. All of the championships went to 3 games, and out of the last 15 games, 11 ended in overtime. Many went to shootouts, all of them were full of drama and excitement. One thing is for certain, the rivalry made both teams and the players better. Most of the players from both teams went on to play at the next level.
Well, there is one more game to be played. Upon hearing of Connors untimely death, the players of Cisco have offered to play the Arsenal one more time in a game to raise money for Connor's family. They respected Connor so much as a player, that they wanted to help in anyway that they could. Please see the flyer for the time and location. We are hoping to get a nice crowd in support of a great person, a great family, a great rivalry, and a great game. Please show your support for Connor and his family by cheering on the Arsenal 90s one more time.
