Congratulations to all of the teams who participated in this years 2010 Arsenal Challenge. The tournament played through in spite of the unpredictable weekend weather with 170 teams competing in 20 age brackets at 4 venues of 25 fields. Some teams from as far away as Denmark.
The women's team, SKJOLD BIRKERØD played against our 92 Premier Girls team in the U19 gold finals and finished as champions in a 1-0 game. Congratulations to them and thanks for coming to our tournament. Tillykke ærede med sejren og tak for spiller i vores konkurrence.
Of course none of this happens without the hardwork of our volunteers. Thank you to Rob Messer and Jim Cope who work tirelessly putting the tournament together. Kerry Gleadle, Charley Marshall, Stacie Gillespie, Glen Hodge, Rob Beck, Andrea Siefert, Scott Johnson and Debbie Hanrattry, the site coordinators who made sure that things were in order at each venue. Thanks to all of the parents working at the fields to make sure the games went on as scheduled and the place looked pristine even with the inclement weather.

Our '01 Premier Girls took the Championship playing up in the '00 Age Division of the Desert Classic over the weekend. They went unbeaten in the event (4-0) and won the championship against Real Soccer Fury of Colorado.
The 2010 Tucson Association of Realtors Shootout Soccer Tournament saw teams from all over Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and California. Arsenal sent 5 of its teams to compete. Managers and coaches all had a great time and brought home some "hardware" to boot.
The 98 Classic Girls did amazing in the Fort Lowell Tournament this weekend in Tucson. They scored a total of 19 goals and were undefeated champions. They also won first in the Olympics for Shooting Accuracy, Abby Starkey won 2nd in Juggling and the team won 1st for best hat and scarf.
The Arsenal 01 Select Girls won the gold bracket of the Fort Lowell Shootout over the weekend. They scored ten goals and allowed none throughout the competition. They also did very well in the soccer olympic’s competition bringing home ten medals by finishing second in the team dribbling relay, second in the juggling contest, and winning the pk shootout competition.
The Arsenal 96 Select Girls came home as Champions of the U14 Female Silver division. With a combined 10 goals for and only 2 goals against, the defense formed a solid foundation for the team to build on. Coach Matt Davis named Alexa Petillo as Championship Match co-MVP and Victoria Dunigan as team MVP of the tournament.
Congratulations to the 01 Premier Boys and 00 Classic Boys and the 00 Select Boys teams who all took 1st place in the 2009 San Tan Holiday Classic. Despite all the rain and wet fields all of the teams did an amazing job.

The 97 Premier girls won the championship game in the U-13 division of this years Tempe Pros Thanksgiving Tournament. The girls went 5-0 in the tournament giving up only 4 goals for the weekend. In bracket play the scores were 7-1 vs banat gold, 4-2 vs Sereno South 97 White, 2-0 vs Sereno North Red and 8-0 vs Rio Vista Fusion (NM). The Championship Game vs Scottsdale Blackhawks 97 Black was a hard fought battle. despite some illness and injury, the girls pulled it out for a 3-2 victory!!! Congratulations to the team for a job well done!
