  • Goalkeeping:At Gilbert Soccer Club, we recognize the importance of specialized training. Our Goalkeeper Training Program utilizes the experience and knowledge of our nationally certified keeper trainers to focus on everything from the technical fundamentals, to expanding the keeper's tactical awareness and understanding. With input from the club's coaching staff, our curriculum is individualized addressing the specific needs of the keepers and their team.

  • Speed and Power Training:Top professional track coaches from the Valley head up our Speed and Power Training Program. Our staff has implemented a proven curriculum used to train the top athletes in the nation. From the basics of running form to agility, quickness, power and aerobic conditioning, Gilbert's program has proven to develop our players as total athletes.

  • Technical Training:Once a week, each team meets with our technical training staff for a high intense session of dribbling, passing, receiving or finishing, depending on the topic for the week. Our technical trainers are our top teachers of proper technique in our club. Our technical training program allows our coaches to use their practice time on more functional and tactical topics.

  • Tactical Training: Our tacticaltrainers scout opposing teams in the high school age groups and help develop tactical plans for playing against specific opponents and/or against specific formations or styles of play. These trainers are secondary assistants on the high school boy's or girl's teams and may run tactical sessions in assistance of the team’s primary coaches.

  • College Preparatory Program:This program runs yearly with the culminating event being College Week. All year long our players are instructed on methods of the college recruitment process. From writing emails to help with testing, our program covers all of the steps in this difficult yet awarding process. Our College Week is used to bring in college coaches from around the country to work directly with players in the Valley. This allows the coaches to become familiar with our players and get to know them on a first name basis. Some of the schools who have been involved in our program are: Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, University of Wyoming, University of Notre Dame, Grand Canyon University, Metro State College, Mesa State College, Cal Baptist University, College of Santa Fe, and Hastings College just to name a few.

  • College Liaison Program: Our college liaisons will develop and implement a College Recruitment Program for high school age Arsenal players, including but not limited to educating parents and players about the recruiting process and developing connections with college coaches at the Division I, II, III, NAIA and Junior College levels. There is a liaison responsible for the boy's side of the club and one for the girls side. Each one is a resource to help the high school age teams find the best college opportunity for our Arsenal players.

  • Sports Psychology Program:The Gilbert Soccer Club is pleased to have Lee Hancock in charge of our new program. Lee has been meeting with our coaches to teach his program to them. Next, Lee will begin to work directly with our players on a number of different strategies to improve their mindset and mental game preparedness.

  • Coach Mentoring Program:Not only do we develop players in the Gilbert Soccer Club, but we develop coaches as well. We have worked hard to take former players and place them with some of our more experienced coaches to develop some fine young coaches.. Our unique program was designed to help accommodate our growth and help our club transition into the future. All Gilbert Soccer Club coaches are required to have certification from USSF or NSCAA.
